The papers include: manuscript of his Hargrave biography, c.1972; research material, 1856-1972, including correspondence with Hargrave's daughters and granddaughter and some original family papers; a photocopy of Helen Gray's (Hargrave's eldest daughter) scrapbook about her father, 1902-1949; original and copy print photographs, c.1860-1968, of Hargrave, his family, his residences and inventions, including his models (many of which were destroyed in World War II); and a family tree covering 1686 to 1920.
